I had them send it back to me "unrepaired" as 1) the laptop worked without a battery as long as you kept it plugged in, and 2) I could get a replacement battery off the internet and install it myself for less money than they wanted. Remember, these things must be safe even for the dumbest customer, a bloated battery SHOULD be considered on the design of the battery itself. That said, I would change the battery as fast as I can.
